This month on Wednesday 28th of November we'd like to welcome Georgiana who is a known speaker on international conferences and meetups. She will talk about the interesting journey she made together with her team, while optimizing and developing/extending a large-scale web application for an airline company.
The lecture
How to optimize and develop/extend a large-scale web application for an airline company that includes lots of strict requirements? Think of destination-centered travel experience, scalability, a separate frontend and backend, a narrow time frame and more of this. The involved developers worked independently, components were tested separately.
The web application includes a clever airport strategy algorithm, own reservation system and ticket selling system.
About Georgiana Gligor

Crafting enterprise-grade software since 2003. She's a living proof that geek girls are an asset to any team. She loves taming the Force of the DevOps dark side and mentoring team mates in achieving craftsmanship.
Over the past years she dived deep into Artificial Intelligence, using (among other tools) Watson to deliver real-life applications. This also led her into starting a PhD in Systems Engineering.
About the location
The meetup is held at Blue Dragon (https://www.bluedragon-dt.nl/) (formerly known as Connexx) in the southwest of Eindhoven. Blue Dragon provides us food (pizza) and drinks. Everybody is encouraged to attend about an hour prior to the lecture, so we can have a chat while enjoying our food.
The building Blue Dragon is located in, is near Veldhoven and the N2/A2 highways in the southwest of Eindhoven. Loads of free parking spaces are available around the building. Busstops are around the corner.
